DEVELOPMENT OF WEBGIS TOOL FOR MONITORING PUBLIC WORKS
The goal was to provide decision-makers with a tool to visualize engineering drawings, aerial images, and project information. My role in this project involved drone mapping several areas to create an updated image base layer, processing and orthorectified the photos, and working on GIS-CAD integration to compatible data from different formats. With the support of the IT team, we used the ArcGIS AppBuilder tool to create a GIS web map.
GEOPOLIS – EMPOWERING MUNICIPAL MANAGEMENT IN BAHIA THROUGH GIS SOLUTIONS
The Geopolis project demonstrated the transformative power of GIS technology in supporting municipalities across Bahia, Brazil, to establish and maintain Multipurpose Technical Registers (CTM). The project addressed the critical need for reliable territorial data to enhance urban planning, socio-economic diagnostics, and land regularization processes, particularly in informal urban settlements. As a GIS Analyst, I played a pivotal role in the success of this initiative, leveraging my expertise in spatial analysis, data management, and community engagement to empower local governments and streamline their territorial management efforts.
CADASTRAL MAPPING
This project involved mapping and collecting information on land ownership, parcels, property, and socioeconomic data of their residents for land regularization and public works projects carried out by CONDER.
My role in this project involved meetings with the sectors and contractors involved, fieldwork team training, and zoning areas in a GIS environment. I also inspected and validated the data collected in the field, as well as the final mapping product and its database with information relating to each property.
GIS MAPPING FOR SOLAR ENERGY DEVELOPMENT
This project provided a comprehensive exploration of Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques tailored to solar energy planning and development. Through technical and participatory mapping exercises, participants learned to evaluate spatial opportunities and constraints for solar energy projects using cutting-edge tools in ArcGIS. The results emphasized integrating technical expertise, community engagement, and visualization techniques to create actionable insights for energy planning.
